Clarinet in C. Cocuswood body with nickel silver-plated brass keywork, ferrule and tenon sleeves. Keys have fish skin pads. Boehm system right hand, Barret system left hand. Brille key on lower joint. Left hand little finger key and A key have rollers possibly of ebonite. Only two joints present, mouthpiece, bell and barrel are missing. Cork lapped tenons. Upper joint stamped: MANUFACTURED/BY/S.QUILTER/3&5/FERDINAND St./LONDON; Lower joint stamped: S.QUILTER/LONDON; Both inscriptions have a star emblem immediately above and below and are highlighted in gold paint. The reverse of each joint is stamped: 0 65 0
