Flute. African blackwood (grenadilla) with nickel silver-plated keys, ferrules and bushes. Eight keys, block mounted with saltspoon cups. Five keys have pewter plugs, two have stuffed leather pads and one is missing. Five joints. All tenons lapped with string apart from tuning slide connecting head joint and barrel. Head joint stopped with cork. No inscriptions.
