Cor anglais, english horn. Leather covered wooden body, brass keys and horn ferrules. Two keys, block mounted with octagonal flat flaps and one leather pad. Block mounts are full and round in profile. Three joints. String lapped tenons. Both upper and lower joints are curved. Bulbous bell with two vent holes. Illegible inscription on bell. A paper label adhered to the lower joint has in D.J. Blaikley's hand: 19 COR ANGLAIS/CURVED/2 K.WOOD/LEATHER COVERED
