Brass maker's plaques nailed to the top of each end with embossed inscriptions, one reads: MANUFACTURERS/C.WHEATSTONE & Co./LONDON; the other: "WHEATSTONE"/35328/MADE IN ENGLAND.; Leather straps each of which is embossed: C.WHEATSTONE & Co./MANUFACTURERS/LONDON
