skirt; textile; samphot hol

Tubular skirt for a woman made from tabby-woven woven silk decorated with red, blue and green vertical stripes, and white and orange weft ikat. The ikat patterned stripes are wider than the others, and contain short white diagonals, creating eight horizontal bands of zigzag motifs. The narrower, coloured stripes are framed by fine stripes in contrasting colours. The wider stripes to either side of the central seam are plain brown.
