Tubular skirt made from a central panel of tabby-woven silk textile, to which two bands of tabby-woven cotton have been sewn along the selvedges, a wide band at the waist and a narrower one at the lower hem. The main panel is decorated with alternating ikatted or brown stripes. The ikat consist of shorter, mainly pink dashes on a purple ground. On one side of the seam is a wider stripe where the dashes are cream-coloured. The waist band is decorated with sets of cream and pink stripes on a grey ground. The narrower band at the hem is decorated with solidly coloured, and dotted bands in grey and cream.
