Oboe. Rosewood body in three joints. Nickel silver reed receiver. Nickel silver keys with circular flat flaps and leather pads. Brille key on lower joint. Half hole plate key and double tone hole on upper joint. Tenons lapped with cork and string. Upper and lower joints carry inscription: BREVETE/TRIEBERT/A PARIS/9278; Bell inscription: BREVETE/TRIEBERT/A PARIS; Inscriptions are stamped and highlighted in gold paint. They each incorporate a castle motif beneath the word BREVETE.
