421.121.12 Open side-blown flutes with fingerholes

Flute. Boxwood body. Ivory ferrules and end cap. Eight keys, block mounted, silver, with salt spoon cups and stuffed leather pads. One block mount full and round in profile, all others are turned away. Five joints. Concentric turned grooves on head joint on either side of embouchure hole and on barrel. Head joint stamped: C-NICHOLSON'S/IMPROVED; Upper joint stamped: 1389/CLEMENTI & Co/LONDON/C-NICHOLSON'S/IMPROVED; Lower joint and foot joint stamped: CLEMENTI & Co/LONDON
