Clarinet in B flat. African blackwood (grenadilla) body with nickel silver-plated keys and ferrules and a silver plaque on the upper joint. Thirteen keys, block and pillar mounted with circular shallow-domed flaps and leather stuffed pads. Brille key is a later addition. Five pieces. String lapped tenons. Barrel joint, upper joint, lower joint and bell carry the stamped, oval shaped inscription: CLINTON & Co./LONDON
