Clarinet in E flat. Boxwood with six brass keys and ivory ferrules. Keys are block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. Block mounts are turned away except one which is full and round in profile. Six pieces including mouthpiece. String lapped tenons. Barrel joint, upper joint, middle joint and lower joint are stamped: G.ASTOR/LONDON; with the emblem of a unicorn's head beneath. Bell is stamped: G.ASTOR/No. 72/CO......./LONDON; with a crest emblem above and unicorn's head beneath.
