ADEMA is a political party in Mali, founded in October 1990 by Dioncounda Traore. The party was originally set up as an umbrella organisation following the dictatorship of Moussa Traore, once he was overthrown, ADEMA-PASJ set itself up as a political party (Alliance pour la Democratie en Mali- Parti Pan-Africain pour la Liberté, la Solidarité et la Justice: ADEMA-PASJ). The political slogan of ADEMA is the bee, standing for ‘work, solidarity and justice’.
