This piece looks like it has ‘borrowed’ motifs from the bogolan (mud-cloth) style. The zigzags are called ‘cèfaricèrojala’ (‘la ceinture du brave homme’ – the belt of the good man) Ref : Gardi and MNM, Musee National du Mali, 2003 page 94.
