Tall padded woman's hat in turquoise damask fabric. Circular panel forming crown. Sides formed by more or less rectangular panel stitched to circumference of crown piece and with curved section cut out to form opening for face. Vertical sticthing reinforces structure at sides, horizontal stitching around lower edge. Lined in red fabric. Decorated with couchwork in silver and gold coloured thread.
