hat (clothing: headwear)

Elaborate headdress for woman, heavily embroidered, with a green embroidered raised panel above the face, circular embroidered pieces over the ears (with a loop under the right ear and a strap under the left) a fringe at the rear of the head and two long bands which rise from the ear pieces, are stitched together at the nape and hang down at the back, each elaborately embroidered and decorated with white buttons. A semicircular panel covers the upper part of the wearer's back below the nape, and the upper part of the hat is covered with applique and embroidery on a red ground with scalloped edges at the front. Lined.
