cape

Cape formed of two seed calico panels folded over and sewn together vertically at the back, the front and sides left open apart from a short strip below each arm hole. A small rectangle sewn onto the top forms a collar. The outer side of the collar and a separate panel stitched over the upper part of the cape covering the shoulders front and back are covered with appliquéd strips of yellow and red fabric, with some black and white at the edges, embroidered in green white red and orange. At the centre of the back below the nape a triangular panel similarly embroidered on black fabric is inserted between the two main calico panels.
