Uygur child's hat, black in colour and square in shape with vertical lower band. Upper part made of four triangular shapes stitched together along the edges and meeting at the central point. A lower curve results in slight curved projections at each corner. Decorated with fine white embroidery in cotton in scallop shapes along the lower band, large asymmetrical motifs above, one on each quarter. The hat is lined in red with black stitches showing.
