Wrap around skirt. Lower portion black cotton fabric, upper portion striped handwoven fabric bound with red cotton cloth along lower edge. One end (forming the back) of this top half has a panel of fabric embroidered in multi-coloured cross stitch and decorated with applique strips. Lower hem of skirt and outer edge has a strip of commericial macine woven ribbon with red and green flower and butterfly motifs applied. Extreme lower edge and back opening bound in red cotton cloth. Lengths of plied yarn attached to top ends of skirt at waist for tying.
