Woven from commercially spun yarn dyed with artificial dyestuffs in a symmetrical arrangement of stripes in many colours in the warp. Two of the stripes at each side have a pattern in the warp in white as does the central stripe, which is wider and in which the pattern is more complex. An inch or so in from each set of warp ends, which are left loose as a fringe, a looped band of stitching in yellow cotton. (AF62.1)
