shoulder cloth

Shoulder cloth, tuturtutur na marjungkit, in metal thread brocade or songket. The cloth has an overall pattern in supplementary metal thread weft against a red warp. The design is divided into three sections lengthways and across the width. The middle of the three sections along the length has additional patterning in the form of ten stripes in the warp, containing arrow shaoes in ikat in brown against cream. At the warp ends is a band of twining, which secures the edges. The warp ends themselves are twisted to form a fringe at each end of the cloth.
