Wayang wong mask, tapel, depicting Wibisana. Mask carved from pule wood, face painted orange with black and gold detailing, especially for the elaborately curved moustache and arched eyebrows. Mouth has small even teeth of shell in the upper jaw, gum painted pink, lips painted red; aperture below almond-shaped eyes. Ears not indicated. Band of floral decoration in gold and black painted across brow. Headdress of carved and painted leather with coronet at the front and garuda figure projecting at rear. Above is a backward and downward curving wooden projection emerging from a black velvet cap at the rear. Pompom of red wool fixed to either side of the mask at brow level. The headdress is lined in black cloth. Hook for hanging at rear of crown.
