White cotton blouse of factory-made cloth with a white stripe in the weave. The front section is made of two pieces of fabric, from which two vertical strips have been cut out at each side and replaced with broderie anglaise. A further much narrower strip at one selvdege has been likewise replaced, lying at the front centre of the blouse. The fabric is gathered into white binding at the neck, which is machine stitched. The shoulders have a reinforcing layer of cloth. The sleeves are gathered and set in at the shoulders; each has a strip cut out along the top and replaced with broderie anglaise. The blouse is secured at the back with five buttons and buttonholes. The sleeves are long and terminate in a wide strip of crochet work. They would be worn bunched up with ribbons.
