Hulusi, free reed instrument with two lateral bamboo drones (or one drone and one mute pipe) and a central bamboo melody pipe with 6 fingerholes, 1 thumbhole, and two vent holes. The reeds are encapsulated in a bottle gourd, with a small separable mouthpiece at the top. The gourd is decorated with the figure of a stylised quadruped. With an instructions sheet which states that it is played by the Dai, the Yi, the A-Chang, the De-Ang, the Wa, and the Bai people.
