White crepe blouse, embroidered in coloured silks around the neck opening, on the shoulders and around the arm openings. Gathered with elastic at the waist. Label reads: ‘Hungarian embroideries. Made in Hungary.’ Part of girl’s national costume of Monaco.

Was purchased in Monaco for the donor’s grandmother, as a child and worn by her in Monaco at national ceremonies. Donor’s grandmother was born in 1901. The costume is believed to date from around 1910.
