Jacket for a Javanese bridegroom, made of black velvet trimmed around the neck, front opening, lower edge and cuffs with a border of sequins and beadwork. Motif formed of similar beadwork and sequins at the two lower front corners. Stand up collar. The back of the jacket is shorter than the front, with an almost semi-circular curve, the highest part at the centre, where there is a decoration of three flowers in beadwork and sequins above the decorative border. Black lining. Indonesia.
