Rod puppet, wayang golek, representing a refined male knight, Satria Ladak, which could be used for several characters. He has narrow almond-shaped eyes and hair in the style known as apit urang, or pinching shrimp. This type often has a hair curl below the ear, but this is absent. Face painted cream. Garuda muncur (eagle looking backwards) in the headdress. Wears a red bodice and apron, on each of which is a raised star design in metal thread. Parang design in the batik skirt cloth in dark brown in bands alternating with bands of designs of squares. Two beige sashes hang down at the front from the waist. An upper arm band and bracelet on each arm, each consisting of a plain lower section and an upper section with triangular painted designs. Articulated arms, from which hands project at right angles. Java, Indonesia.
