Short sword, wakizashi, slightly curved blade, which is signed once on each side. Possibly a 17th century blade (or earlier) with later fittings. Wooden hilt and sheath covered in gilded and embossed leather. Supplementary small knife (kozuka) in sheath. Brown cord for suspension hangs from lower end of sheath. 470 x 44
