Cup made of lacquered thin bamboo basketry with incised decorations (yun). The decoration is of elephants in black, which is the background lacquer, with running human figures between, the areas between cross-hatched in yellow. The inside is covered in red pigment. The outside has two inscriptions: one is the address of the workshop, the other says 'HSAING winner of gold medal'. This presumably refers to the maker. The base has a floral pattern on it.
