Penitent's alms box. Alms Box, metal, Malta. Half cylinder in form with strap handle and lid, the latter has trough slot for coins. Made from tinplate painted cream and with a picture of the head of St. John the Baptist in colours on the front. Used by the Society of Mercy and the Holy Rosary.
