A hat (Ẹrhu). Benin City. Ẹrhu are items of headwear which may be worn by chiefs, priests or the Ọba himself. The hat is made from vegetable fibre with stitched and tooled leather adornments. Historical file (Cook) notes "leather covered hat as worn by Benin Chief."
