Sample book, kireji-mihon-chou, containing 97 textile samples. The majority of the samples show brocaded fabric, but one is plain, one is embroidered, and one consists of cut velvet. The fabrics are probably for furnishings and obi. Each piece has been framed with a gold-coloured paper frame. Each cardboard page contains several samples per pearlised page. The book has separated into 3 parts. One fragment of the textile cover of the book is still attached to the back cover. Another fragment is detached showing remnants of the foliate and geometric brocaded motifs.
