Arch-necked paddle club, possibly from Tonga, of Mills’ type G1 with transverse bar collar of a single flattened cigar shape. The butt is slightly flared and ornamented with a square lug. The piece is engraved throughout with a rectilinear chequered pattern of tavatava zig zags. Dark wood.
