Sheet of red wedding gift paper, roughly rectangular. There is an inscription in black on the front of the paper, “牛棠, Niú Tang”, the name of the gift provider. 牛 (Niu) is the surname.

possibly a gift envelope. It is an old Chinese tradition for parents to give their children a red envelop with money on Chinese New Year’s Eve. People also give a red envelop to newlywed couple.
