Rectangular apron employing much gold and silver metal-wrapped thread. Circa two-thirds of the ground has repeating silver diamond motifs within a large gold-coloured diamond lattice pattern. This patterning is bordered by another diamond pattern worked along the selvedges. The remaining third has a more heavily embroidered diamond pattern.The edges of this part of the textile have triangular-shaped trim, worked in crochet, and the back of the fabric in this section is lined with red satin. Throughout, small areas of the patterning have light blue, red and purple threads.
