Apron. Rectangle of black cloth with a backing cloth to support the heavy gold and silver thread embroidered foliate patterns. Pattern woven gold ribbon round three sides hiding the attachment of a fringe on the two vertical short sides, and a set of long tassles in many colours on the base. Attached by red braid to another similar (30.8.67/16a). Worn by women, one at the back, one at the front. Cloth: 15" x 6"; w. tassles L: 35".
