textile; sample (textiles)

Rectangular, embroidered linen textile described in the register as part of a blouse. The selvedges are the shorter edges. The main motif fills the centre of the ground and comprises alternating yellow and orange diamonds, in two vertical rows, linked by an orange zig zag line with black and red 'V' shapes attached. Multi-coloured, heavily embroidered squares, with green and blue beads attached, fill the spaces between the diamonds. [Two have been cut out.] A small geometric motif, in black, red and orange makes a vertical line either side of the main decoration.
