Wooden figure of a female ancestor figure seated on a large square base with elbows resting on knees and holding a bowl. Carved from one piece. Very long and prominent nose with sharp ridge, mouth not indicated. Arms held out horizontally above knees, which are rounded. Lozenge pendant earrings, hair indicated as a flat bun on the top of the head. Left foot has six toes, right foot five. The back of the figure is flat, unmodelled. '26' in chalk on the front. Painted on reverse is SL26/217. A label is affixed, heavily stained and more or less illegible.
