pipe (narcotics & intoxicants: smoking)

Pipe intended to be fitted into a stem. Body of bowl is pale gold in colour - in other parts it has been blackened (at the rim and underneath). The rim around the base of the bowl is decorated with diagonal incisions; there is an 'arm' (bent) below the bowl, which terminates in a 'hand' at the front of the bowl. No brass mount or tweezers evident (8.3.2004) but no damage. This is a copy of an English pipe.
