gambling stick

One cylindrical wooden gambling stick with rounded ends and a smooth surface. The stick is decorated with three narrow, faint, red lines at the centre and two wider black bands either side. There are three incised notches next to each pair of black bands. There are dark brown blotches over the surface of the object.

Label: yellow exhibition label, printed.

Used in a guessing game - each player on one side has one plain and one marked piece and the other side has to guess which hand holds which gaming piece.
