A circular bowl in bidri ware. The bowl has a low stand and is decorated all over the outer surface in tarkashi and tehnishan technique with horizontal bands of geometrical and floral design with star- and leaf-shaped motifs. Inside the bowl there is a circular medallion in the form of a stylised lotus and along the inner rim a band of lotus petals.

This is eighteenth or early nineteenth century from the Deccan. A comparable piece is V&A object 2067-1883(IS), Illustrated in plate 50 in Stronge, 1995.
