



The ownership of this object was transferred to Nigeria’s National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM) in November 2022.
A comb (oyiya). Benin City. Unknown date. The comb has two figures at the top; they are both naked, one is male and the other is female. The platform they are standing on is linked to the comb by carved thick wooden chain links. Made by Igbesanmwan guildmembers (ivory and wood carvers).
