Bed warmer or bed wagon, roughly square in shape with a low profile. It is made up of a central frame which is long and rectangular. The top is supported by vertical dowels. In the centre of this at the bottom is an iron tray in which the hot embers would be placed. Above this on the top edge of the frame is another sheet of iron, preventing the fire from going through to the bed.
Crossing the central frame at 90 degrees, are thin strips of wood, which curve back on themselves at the edges, forming the top and bottom of the whole frame. Small wooden supports run along the outer edge of these curves and are bound on with string. One length of this is missing.
At the long ends of the central rectangle, there are shorter curved strips of wood, which can fold in or out. Of the four of these, one is missing. There is an old display label attached to the top centre of the object.
