Large carved paddle in reddish wood, with a trowel-shaped blade and the tip retaining a large modelling of an abstracted beak pierced with a circular hole. The cylindrical shaft terminates in a pommel in the shape of a human head. In the middle of the shaft there is a cuboidal element carved with engraved scrolls on all four faces. On both sides the blade is engraved with a symmetrical heart shaped zone of concentric teardrop shapes containing running scroll work.
