Boat shaped wooden mortar for the processing of Arica nut by elderly men prior to chewing, and a stone pestle of tapering cylindrical form. The mortar depression itself is in the centre of the boat and on both sides there is a panel of fret work decoration incorporating two curved beaked birds and one crocodile at each end.
