basket (containers)

A bamboo lidded basket of 'lo' shape with a square base, flared sides and a circular mouth with a braided rim and covered with a conical lid. The basket is made of bamboo splints woven in a twill weave on the base and plaited weave on the sides, supported by a stake framework mounted on the base and the four corners. The lid has a framework formed by laying thick bamboo splints on top of each other and interwoven with thin weft in plaited weave, edged with a braided rim. There is a label affixed to the base detailing the collector's number.
