Bamboo ladle (shao) of cylindrical form with a scoop, attached with a bamboo stick handle. It was used as an oil measure, recorded as 1 oz. by Rev. Davidson in terms of volume, which was almost equivalent to 2 'shao' when converted to Chinese unit of measurement for liquid in the 19th century. 1 'shao' is equal to 10 ml.
