There will be no through route in the Gardens on Saturday 19 April, and the Gardens are open on Saturday to Spring Fair ticket holders only. Museum visitors need to enter and exit via London Road.
Sandal. Sole made from hide, with uppers decorated in layers of scored black and red leather with a wide border of embroidery with white and yellow strips of leather. Wide strap coming over the foot on both sides, meeting in the middle, where a leather thong comes up from the sole between the toes, is made of red leather, with black border. Layers of the sole are secured together with short nails.
