dah (knife (weapons: edged))

Single blade metal knife, pointed with slightly rounded blade near the tip, hollowed along the centre for most of its length on both sides. The blade has an X with a line above and below incised into the blade back at two places. The hilt is bound by a narrow metal strip, wrapped around and pinned together, where the blade is hafted in. Straight cylindrical wooden hilt, slightly fluted at end, lacquered black, overlaid with a red lacquered band above the band, and over the top of the hilt end.
