Rectangular sample of fine, brown, supple barkcloth decorated with black pigment. The textile is seemingly from a larger cloth as the patterns appear to have been cut on one longer side. The decoration consists of a centre decorated panel surrounded by wide plain borders on 3 sides. The decoration appears to consist of 4 sections patterned with circular motifs or bands, and framed and separated by patterned bands and stripes. Small repairs distort the patterning in several places.
