Tobacco pouch, rectangular pouch of grained leather, stained black with elaborate designs including roundels made of dragons and shishi, and pomegranate flowers in fawn reserve. Flap closure with clip of brass with copper and gilt depicting shishi and rocks. Attached to pipe holder, of interfitting tubes of oval cross section carved from wood and polished, with two purple cords passing through a carved wooden ojime in the form of a dog. The pouch contains a parcel of chaff wrapped in Japanese paper - presumably an exhibition device.
