pipe (narcotics & intoxicants: smoking); pipe case

A pipe and pipe case with a separate lid. The pipe has a small silver bowl with engraved net pattern decoration and long bowl-stem on a bamboo stem. There is a long silver mouth-piece with matching net pattern engraving. The pipe case is formed of two interfitting wooden tubes that are oval in cross-section and is carved and polished. There is a lacquered wooden ferrule on the innter tube and an ivory or bone lip on outer tube.
